As our Purchasing Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring we source top-tier materials, services, and partnerships to meet the standards our clients expect. You'll work closely with vendors, architects, and project leaders to align purchasing with each home's unique design and scope, keeping quality high and costs in check.
Responsibilities
- Lead all estimating and purchasing activities for luxury residential construction projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and trade partners
- Negotiate contracts to ensure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels
- Prepare and manage bid packages; evaluate proposals
- Track budgets and forecasts to support project profitability
- Ensure all materials meet project specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate lead times and deliveries to meet critical construction timelines
- Support internal compliance with procurement policies and local regulations
- Complete daily project updates/logs in QuickBooks Time tracker, MS Office, and Construction Online
- Collaborate closely with project managers and accounting
Qualifications
- 8 to 10 years of experience in residential construction purchasing (custom/luxury preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and construction software (e.g., Procore, Construction Online, Buildertrend)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication
- Experience preparing and managing budgets in multi-million-dollar projects
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- Clean driving record

- Competitive salary range at $85,000 to $110,000 annually, plus performance-based incentives
